As part of our continued improvements to services, we will be introducing two new web servers (Elara and Rhea) on our UK network. Some existing websites will be migrated onto these new servers. Due to the way that this is being done, there will be very little downtime - we are expecting no more than 10 minutes. There will also be no changes to the IP addresses. No action needs to be taken by customers, we are simply contacting customers so that they are aware. These moves will take place at the times below. You can check the web server that a site is on by clicking on "Website Settings" in Helm. Migration 1: Websites currently on "Thebe" will be moved to "Elara" between midnight and 6am on Thursday 8th December 2011. Migration 2: Websites currently on "Dione" will be moved to "Rhea" between midnight and 6am on Friday 9th December 2011. If you have any questions about the migrations, please do not hesitate to contact us. UPDATE: The Thebe migration is currently taking longer to complete than expected. As we are already part way through, we must complete it now rather than waiting until the next migration period. FTP will be unavailable for the sites that were on Thebe until the migration is completed. We are hoping this will be within another 2 hours, but we will post updates when the exact time is more clear. UPDATE 9am: All sites should now be online. | |
